Emmanuel Nicholas to emerge Assembly member
. As Uruan zones AKHA seat to Central Uruan
Special Assistant to the Governor on Documentation, Mr Emmanuel Nicholas should be the next member representing Uruan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in 2019 if recent developments concerning the State Constituency are anything to go by.
NEWS LINK can authoritatively report that political stakeholders in Uruan have unanimously decided to cede the Assembly seat to Central Uruan in the spirit of zoning and fair-play.
According to reports, the decision was taken in the best interest of the area taking cognizance of the fact that Central Uruan has not produced any House member in twenty years whereas Northern and Southern Uruan have had their turns.
NEWS LINK can confirm that Barr.Usenobong Akpabio, representing Northern Uruan was in the Assembly for eight years while Southern Uruan have been represented by Asuquo Nyong, Kufre Etuk and Aniekan Bassey leaving Central Uruan as the only region never to have been represented in the AKHA.
According to grapevine sources, stakeholders like ex-commissioner Emmanuel Ntukude, Engr J.B Effiong and Offiong Usen Akpabio have all agreed on the power shift agenda which when executed will expectedly nip in the bud cries of marginalization by Central Uruan.
NEWS LINK can report that Emmanuel Nicholas being the only aspirant from Central Uruan stands a good chance of grabbing the seat as the rest of the aspirants are either from Southern or Northern Uruan.
