AWARD A CHARGE FOR MORE SERVICE – EPHRAIM INYANGEYEN
Commissioner for Works, Akwa Ibom State, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen has described the recent Award of Leadership / Patriotism conferred on him by the prestigious Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio as a charge for more service to the people.
The Works Commissioner who was dutifully supported by his amiable wife, Akparawa – anwan Ime Ephraim Inyangeyen during the event made the remark, during a chat with newsmen.
The awardee, who also represented his boss, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel at the event marking the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the apex Ibibio Socio-cultural organization, and The 20th Obong Sampson Udo Etuk Biennial Lecture / Excellence Awards Dinner held at the Mboho Secretariat, said, he is delighted to be recognized by the apex Ibibio Socio-cultural organization and thanked the organizers for the recognition.
Akparawa Inyangeyen said as an appointee of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, he is determined to add value to the society as he works to translate and actualize the vision of the governor to revamp the road infrastructure of the State, network all existing roads and link production centers to the commercial nerves of the state where their produce will be purchased.
The Works Commissioner reiterated the commitment of Governor Udom Emmanuel to develop Akwa Ibom State and launch her into an industrial era, adding that, Socio-cultural organizations like Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio should mobilize members and support government to achieve her goals for the sustainable development of the State.
He commended the leadership and members of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio for the lofty heights the organization has reached and congratulated the international President of Mboho, Akparawa Elder Monday Etukakapan on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, maintaining that, the body has fostered unity amongst Ibibios in particular and Akwa ibom State at large, while playing very strategic role in articulating, advancing and defending the interests of the State in the nation.
