Senator Albert has performed beyond our expectations …as constituents celebrate his two years in office
The Chairman of Senator Bassey Albert constituency office committee, Mr Daniel Udoh says the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East in the 8th senate has performed beyond the people’s expectations given that he is a first timer in the senate.
Udoh made the disclosure in a chat with Journalists in Uyo on Thursday. ‘’Senator Albert has done well so far if we have to look at his two years in office as a Senator even as a first timer with no legislative experience and the people are happy for the effective representation’’ he opined.
He lauded the Senator’s impact in legislative engagement going by the quality of bills and motions he has brought to the Senate and urged him not to be distracted. ‘’Let me again commend the Senator for catering for 130 undergraduates drawn from the nine LGAs of the Senatorial District by taking up their school expense till graduation among other impact he has made since he assumed office two years ago and urge him not to be distracted’’.
Udoh who is also the CEO of Albert Suites, Ewet Housing, Uyo used the opportunity to also congratulate the Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of the State, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio CON for the solid impact he has also created so far.
He stressed that there is no point for defection especially by National Assembly members in the face of some crisis that is currently rocking the PDP while encouraging them to be steadfast as the issues will be resolved soon.
On Gov Emmanuel’s two years in office, he also congratulated the Governor for the impactful leadership that has come with his administration especially in the area of infrastructure, industrialization, security, prompt payment of salaries and more while calling for continuous support for the Governor in 2019.
Most of the constituents who spoke with our reporters lauded OBA on the achievements so far. One of them; Victor Effiong a youth Activist and a politician from Itu said’’ Senator Albert is a gift to Akwa Ibom North East as his effective representation can so easily be felt by the people and prayed God to continue to give the Senator the grace to do more’’.
Uduak Akpan, a keke rider in Uyo put it this way ’’OBA is truly a man of the people, he understands the language of the people and will always do things to lift the common man up. Imagine fighting to ensure that the police officer who was wrongfully dismissed 21 years ago has been taken back by the police, God will bless OBA for us, Amen’’.
